1961 Chevrolet Parkwood 6 Passenger Station Wagon (Belair)

Built Cleveland Ohio November 1960, Assembled in Tarrytown New York. From the factory it had;

305 horsepower 348 with Power glide

Power steering

Electric tailgate window

3.55:1 open diff

Backup lights (possibly more;  unable to determine, such as radio)

Almond Beige paint with Vinyl Fawn/Copper trim.

 

Repainted the original color and retrimed with correct interior approx 2017, before it came to Aus in 2018. Also fitted in the USA was a 383 stroker, TH700, dropped spindles & discs, 605 P/S box etc.

The Parkwood now has; 1958 280 horsepower TriPower 348, rebuilt with larger CE778 cam and higher compression

4.11 gears with posi

TH700, with 2000stall 30 Spline lock-up torque converter

605 power steering box

Extra tint on side and rear glass

Adjustable panard rod and 1” front stabiliser bar

2’’ drop spindles with discs with standard station wagon springs

Dual circuit master cylinder with power booster

Halogen headlights

Harrison Radiator with 3 x ½” tubes

15 x 8 Halibrand wheels.
